Padi Open Water Certificate
This is the most popular dive programme in the world - it is the ticket to freedom, and intense adventure in diving with a buddy, independent of a professional. The Padi Open Water Certification is the most widely respected and know rating in the world
Virtually anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit and comfortable in water can earn the Open Water Dive Certificate from as early as 10 years old (Junior Open Water Diver).
Throughout this course you will learn all the fundamentals of scuba diving and the relating equipment. You will complete five pool sessions, knowledge development sessions and four open water dives in the ocean.
The Open Water Diver Course as with all other Padi courses, performance based so you proceed as you demonstrate mastery of the course skills which allows you to work at a pace that is comfortable to you.

You will need the following:
Open Water Crew Pack which can be either in book form or on a DVD which ever you prefer. This will be sent to you when you book your course for completion at home. Included in this pack is your log book and dive slates.

Padi Adventure Diver

The Adventure in Diving Programme offers both the Adventre Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver certifications. If you complete any three adventure dives you can earn your Padi Adventure Diver certification and if you also complete the Deep Adventure Dive plus the Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive you can earn your Advanced Open Water Diver certification.
This is your chance to try numerous different dives, for example underwater photography or visit a wreck, or dive at night. This is your chance to sample these dives at the same time as strengthening your diving skills as so enjoy the underwater even more.
The Adventure Diver includes three of the following choices:
For divers 10 years or older:
  • AWARE - Fish Identification
  • Underwater Naturalist
  • Boat Diver
  • Underwater Navigator
  • Peak Performance Buoyancy
  • Underwater Photography
For divers 12 years or older:
  • Altitude Diver
  • Multilevel Diver
  • Deep Diver
  • Night Diver
  • Diver Propulsion Vehicle
  • Search and Recovery
  • Drift Diver
  • Underwater Videography
  • Dry Suit Diver

You will need the following:

Adventures in Diving crew pack which will include your log book. This will be sent to you when you book your course for you to complete the knowledge reviews for the dive you chose at home.
After your Adventure Diver Certification you can take the next step by completing two more dives of Deep and navigation and become an Advanced Open Water Diver.
Your Adventure dives can also count as the first dive for any Specialty certification.

Padi Advanced Open Water Diver
As described in the Adventure Diver certificate, once you have completed your three chosen dives and go on to complete the underwater navigation and deep dives you can become an Advanced Open Water Diver .
After these dives you will become much more comfortable in the water, you will understand the underwater environment more and become much more experienced divers.
You will need to be a certified Open Water Diver (min 15 years old) or a Junior Open Water Diver (12 years old)
This certification requires you to complete three of the dives as listed below of your choice plus underwater navigation dive and deep adventure dive.

Your Adventure dives can also count as the first dive for any Specialty certification. You can also now go on to complete the Padi Rescue Diver Course and Junior Rescue Course.
Emergency First Response Course
Emergency First Response give you the tools you need to perform CPR and First Aid, whether you are a diver or not, it prepares you to properly handle potentially life threatening situations.
There is no minimum age and you do not need any dive certification.
There are two core modules to this course, which can be tough either together or separately. These are Emergency First Response - Primary Care and Emergency First Response - Secondary Care. Both these course provide intensive instruction in CPR and first aid.
You will need a participation pack which includes and manual, binder and first aid pack - these will be sent to you for home study when you book your course.
Having completed this course, it will enable you to complete your Padi Rescue Diver Course or Junior Rescue Diver Course.

Padi Rescue Diver Course
The Padi Rescue Diver Course will expand your knowledge and experience beyond purely recreational level because you will learn to look beyond yourself and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although this course is serious, it is en enjoyable way to build your confidence.
You will need to be a Padi Advanced Open Water Diver or Junior Advanced Open Water Diver, 15 years or older (12 for Junior Rescue Diver) and have successfully completed the Emergency First Response course within the last 12 months.
During the five open water sessions you will cover the following:
  • Self Rescue and Diver Stress
  • Dive First Aid
  • Emergency Management and Equipment
  • Swimming and non-swimming assists
  • Panicked diver response
  • Underwater problems
  • Missing diver procedures
  • Surfacing the unconscious diver
  • Inwater artificial respiration
  • Exits
  • First aid procedures for pressure related accidents
  • Dive Accident scenarios
You will need a Padi Rescue Diver Crew pack which will be sent to you for your to read at home when you book your course. .
