Octopus Scuba School welcome you to their very
friendly, English, family run bed and breakfast scuba school on the
beautiful coast of the Costa Brava (45 mins from the airport) with
breathtaking views over the Medes Isles and beautiful medieval town of
Pals and about 10 mins from the nearest golf club (Pals or Emporda.)
Octopus Scuba School is the dive holiday for those
wishing to either step into the water for the first time, 'discover
scuba', complete the open water certification or further their diving
education through the PADI system (most specialities, Adventure/Advance,
EFR, Rescue, Divemaster, Assistant Instructor), or simply to have fun as
certified divers.
For the non-diver we offer snorkelling trips
along the stunning coastline taking the boat through caves and
swimming with the beautiful
fish living in these waters.

 Accommodation
All rooms are on a bed and breakfast basis (full English) with all the
facilities for lunch and dinner although we have many bars and
restaurants nearby. The villa is brand new with 1 double with ensuite, 2
twin letting rooms plus our new family room with ensuite that sleeps 4
people, a beautiful terrace for afternoon napping that surrounds the new
swimming/dive pool, together with teaching facilities in the new pool
house which also has tv, cooking facilities and further showers.
Travel
Flights with Ryanair from most airports to Gerona from as little as 4.99
each way. All accommodation
includes free airport transfers from Gerona (supplement for Barcelona)

Schedule
Your holiday begins when we pick you up by our 9 seater people
carrier from Gerona airport
(remember weight allowances, although Ryanair now offer a set fee of £15
each way for sports equipment with no weight allowances).
All our dives are accompanied by either our resident
Divemaster or Staff Instructor or even both depending on the dive level.
The dives will either be shore, through beautiful reefs and coves
swimming with marine life or by hard boat with our associates La Sirena
(hydraulic lifts), visiting the world famous marine park of the Medes
Isles,where the fish are on steroids and on par with the Red Sea.
Open Water Courses will be held over the first 2/3 days , depending on
numbers after which you will be able to dive for the last 2/3 days as
above. All specialities will be conducted in the afternoons as extra
dives although any continued education or specialities, if taken as
package paid dives will only be charged at half price. These
include Night Diver, Deep Diver, Underwater Photography, Wreck Diver,
Navigation, Enriched Air Diver (Nitrox) Peak Performance Bouyancy, Boat
Diver and Fish Aware. We
also offer internship for 30 days all inclusive for anyone wishing to
complete the Divemaster course, the first step to becoming a
professional.
After a great mornings diving you may want to visit sites around the
beautiful Costa Brava (we can arrange car hire at great rates), these
could include Pals (medieval village, very pretty), Estartit (home to our
boat), Palamos (great for shopping) , the Salvador Dali museum or just a
lovely beach.
Or you may wish to taste the local Spanish cuisine for menu del dia (menu
of the day) to beak your pockets at 8 euros for a five course lunch with
all the wine and water you want!
Or you can just crash out by the pool and cook! (plenty of wet stuff in
the fridge)!!
Then to the evenings
For those concerted technical diving sorts - its off to bed of course.
Or - BBQ by the pool
Or - its down to the beach with its abundance of restaurants (one
Chinese) and bars for a great night out (transfers included if you are
very nice)
All Inclusive drinks package:
We also offer to all our guests an all inclusive
drinks and tapas package for only £7.00 per day you can drink all you
like of soft drinks, water, beer, wine, champagne, all spirits. The tapas usually doubles as
lunch and this can be anything from Spanish sausage casserole to Calamares,
Churitzo spicy sausage to Tuna pastes plus many more.
